Summary

Forum to raise awareness around nitrous oxide, which is the most significant threat to the ozone layer today, and the third most important greenhouse gas, yet it is largely overlooked as a problem. The water industry is responsible for up to approximately 10% of the global N2O emissions. Therefore, this event is about the water sector stepping up and making a statement on its commitment to reducing N2O, collaborating among peers, and learning from and partnering with those outside of water to really tackle this global problem. This event is also about doubling impact and inspiring others to help solve the water crisis as we solve the climate crisis, since water and climate are inextricably linked. Therefore, the event will also be a Charity event for **Water.org** with 100% of proceeds going towards Water.org’s mission of helping those who are dying from lack of safe drinking water and sanitation and are disproportionately suffering from the effects of climate change.

The event will be comprised of keynotes, panel discussions, and 1:1 Q&A with esteemed guests from water utilities, climate tech startups, investors, government and corporates.

The event will close with food, drinks, live music, and a rooftop afterparty. It is the perfect way to cap off Climate Week NYC.
